Dyanne Cano is a freelance photographer based in Los Angeles who travels nationwide. As a natural light photographer, her editorial work comprises of abstract street photography and music photography. She is a wedding, family and special event associate photographer with SDK Photo & Design. She is the Studio Manager at Poetic Kinetics.
As a teenager, Dyanne began photographing musicians by taking her camera along to concerts. She has photographed Sleater-Kinney, Neko Case, The Black Keys, Cat Power, Rufus Wainwright, Le Tigre, Yo La Tengo, The Gossip, Wild Flag, Quasi and local LA bands. She has also photographed authors like Malcolm Gladwell, Joyce Carol Oates and Edwidge Danticat; and public figures Al Gore, Rachel Maddow, George Clooney and Michael Moore. She provided additional cinematography for the "Whispering Light" music video by Jesca Hoop featuring Willy Mason. She was the production assistant for Chris Callister for The Killers' Battle Born Tour video content.
Her work has been featured in the Los Angeles Times, Flaunt Magazine, Paste Magazine and other online publications. Her photographs have been featured in various spaces, including Upon Shop in Los Angeles, Kaldi Coffee in Los Angeles and Small World Coffee in Princeton, NJ.
Dyanne holds a BA in English and Art History from the University of Southern California and an MPA from Baruch College - The City University of New York. She studied graphic and website design at Otis College of Art and Design.
