Dyanne Cano is a freelance photographer based in Los Angeles (Tongva Land). Their editorial work comprises of abstract street photography and music photography. They are the Editor and Researcher of the archival project, Lost Record Stores. They also co-own R/D Record Cabinets. Under the moniker DJ Dy, they DJ vinyl-only sets online and at events in Los Angeles.

As a teenager in the 1990s, Dyanne began photographing musicians by taking their camera along to shows. They have photographed Sleater-Kinney, Wild Flag, Quasi, Tori Amos, Cat Power, Rufus Wainwright, Le Tigre, Yo La Tengo, Bratmobile, The Gossip, Cadallaca, Polyplastic, Wet Leather, Beth Schenck, and local LA bands.

Dyanne’s work has been featured in the Los Angeles Times, Flaunt Magazine, Paste Magazine, SFGATE, and other online publications. Their photographs have been featured in various spaces, including UponShop in Los Angeles, Kaldi Coffee in Los Angeles, and Small World Coffee in Princeton, NJ.

Dyanne holds a BA in English and Art History from the University of Southern California and an MPA from Baruch College - The City University of New York. They studied graphic and website design at Otis College of Art and Design.
